We deploy on infrastructure you own and control. Here's the baseline checklist — common requirements, then per-service specifics for Matrix and Garage.
01 / COMMONRequired for any deployment
These apply to every engagement, regardless of which service you're buying.
- 01A supported Linux server (or servers) you control
- 02Root or sudo access via SSH
- 03Domain name and DNS control
- 04Ability to create DNS records (A, AAAA, SRV, TXT)
- 05Firewall ports opened as required by the service
- 06Stable public IP, or reachable private network
- 07Customer-owned third-party accounts where needed (SMTP, etc.)
02 / MATRIXRequired for Matrix deployments
Beyond the common baseline, Matrix engagements need the items below.
- 01Fresh Linux server (Debian / Ubuntu recommended)
- 02Domain for the Matrix server
- 03Domain for Element Web
- 04DNS access (for .well-known and SRV records)
- 05SMTP provider, if email notifications are required
- 06TURN server access, if voice / video calling is required
03 / GARAGERequired for Garage S3 deployments
Garage durability is a property of your hardware. The below ensures we can actually deliver.
- 011, 3, or more Linux servers depending on package
- 02Dedicated storage volumes
- 03Stable network connectivity between nodes
- 04Domain for the S3 endpoint
- 05DNS access
- 06Understanding that storage reliability depends on customer servers, disks, network and configuration
We verify all requirements before any work begins.
If your environment doesn't meet the requirements at the time of the intake, we'll tell you what's missing. Nothing will be installed until the checklist clears.
